The Durrell Trust

The "Jersey Zoo" is actually not called the "Jersey Zoo" but the Gerald Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. It differs somewhat from your average Zoo in that the place is really a big manor house with fantastic grounds on which wildlife that is facing extinction in the wild is being housed, conserved and bred for re-release into the wild or other wildlife conservation trusts around the globe. Anyone who visits Jersey CI must at least visit the 'Jersey Zoo' once. It is well worth the effort.

Thank you very much for these photos. I visited the Durrell Trust as a direct result of these pictures. I would never have visited a zoo on holiday otherwise. You are a very gifted photographer and you deserve a plume for being such a good ambassador for the trust with these pictures. You were very right about it being worth the effort.

Outstanding work Kees. Mind blowing wake-up call regarding Gerald Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust as well. My god-daughter and her sister are over on your side of the pond right now. I would love to do a belated B-day catch-up if they are located close enough.
