The "Jersey Zoo" is actually not called the "Jersey Zoo" but the Gerald Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust. It differs somewhat from your average Zoo in that the place is really a big manor house with fantastic grounds on which wildlife that is facing extinction in the wild is being housed, conserved and bred for re-release into the wild or other wildlife conservation trusts around the globe. Anyone who visits Jersey CI must at least visit the 'Jersey Zoo' once. It is well worth the effort.
