Semillon grapes, the main ingredient for many
sweet desert wines such as the Monbazillac, Sauternes
and some of the lesser known Moelleux wines such as
the Les Vergnes Beaulieu Moelleux... The dark and wrinkled
grapes are the grapes that have been affected by the noble
rot. This dehydrating rot converts acids into sugars and
adds flavours and scents that can vary from peach to vanilla.
