"Why are we here and what are we doing?"

Plemont

Hehehe, Erika, at Plemont.
The title is one I borrowed from
Michael Weinberg with feedback that
really hit the nail on the head;

"what are we doing here?" We all laugh, hold out our hands, shorten our necks and go on with life, considering our personal tragedies and circumstances, having as much fun and humour as possible. With world events as they are these days, photos like this could provoke a little light laughter and help us all to ask the right questions: "Why are we here and what are we doing?"

I had a session arranged but unfortunately
I got stood up. Checky and Erika had planned
a day on the beach before being approached
by moi in person, asking them to model for
me. I am very glad that they said 'yes' to
my ludacrous proposition.

Hello Kees. All these black and white umbrella / rain shots with models are terrific; very fine compositions with typically great exposure. But this one in particular I am relating to in a big way.... her body language and expression suggests that she is a relative of mine... in my family we all seem to ask the same question with the same expression... "what are we doing here?" We all laugh, hold out our hands, shorten our necks and go on with life, considering our personal tragedies and circumstances, having as much fun and humour as possible. With world events as they are these days, photos like this could provoke a little light laughter and help us all to ask the right questions: "Why are we here and what are we doing?" Great work Kees. All my very best. Michael.
