The ancestral cult or institution is the most basic and primary cult exiting in all homesteads and families to ensure life fertility and its proper transmission and reproduction. The items used to constitute the shrine communicate, mythically and symbolically, the complete notion of life fertility, transmission and reproduction through the ancestral beings and elements. Here, ancestral beings are understood to be the proto-ancestors of life in general and not limited only to human ancestors.
