I am indebted to Paul Barnett,an expert on the Purton Hulks, for naming the boats in the gallery.
Paul is doing invaluable work trying to gain protection for this 100year old site of over 80 boats.

Dear Ted The Friends of Purton are pleased to announce that they have now catalogued its 2007 acquisition of the Graham Farr photographic collection. Started c.1930s the collection consists of several thousand black and white images of schooners, trows, lighters coasters, paddle steamers and much much more. Thanks are duly made to the late Robin Craig' widow, Yvonne, Michael Farr and Llanelli Photographer Derek Newton Goverd for their generosity, foresight and continued support. Hi Ted You have a set of fine images there; Purton is one of my favourite places. When you say “Images captured using a digital camera responding only to Infrared” are you using a filter, photoshoping the images or using a camera converted to take infrared images?
