Local Places, People, 'Critters' and..........

All of these images were taken within about 10 k of our home at Parau. There are a number of beaches close by, Armor Bay, Mill Bay, Cornwallis, Kakamatua, Kaitarakihi, Fosters Bay (at Huia) then further out, Whatipu. Countless walking tracks criss-cross the area, plus a number of water reservoirs supplying Auckland City: Lower Nihotapu Dam is just 1 k from our home, Lower Huia Dam is seven k. I will steadily add images of local identities, buildings, business's, artists of every kind, our wonderful local newspaper (Laingholm Roundabout). It is getting close to 30 years since my wife and I spent 3 month in NZ after being Peace Corps volunteers in Fiji. We would love to go back and see both islands again. So it is very good to see this gallery to help remember. Voted
