Fishing with homemade speargun

The 'gun' is carved from local wood, the spear is taken from the ribbing of an old umbrella, and the spear is propelled by a large 'rubber band' sold in local stores (or from rubber strips taken from an inner tube).
The goggles are also homemade from the glass of a soda bottle or flashlight lens. This type of spearfishing is done in shallow pools of water on the reef at periods of low tide,
which are especially pronounced at the time of the full and new moon.
