Sagrada Familia | Gaudi houses & Parc Guell

Gaudi houses & Parc Guell

Antoni Gaudi (1852-1926) is Barcelona's best known architect of the early 20th century. He designed a number of now famous houses in the style called modernisme, the Spanish version of what is known elsewhere as Art Nouveau or the Arts and Crafts style.

The main Gaudi houses that can be visited are Casa Guell, Casa Batllo, and La Pedrera. He also is well known for the design of Park Guell. All four of these Gaudi designs are shown in this gallery.

Gaudi is most famous for the great modern cathedral of Sagrada Familia which he initiated in the early 20th century. See https://pbase.com/tconelly/sagrada_familia
