TECHNIQUE:
Bob also talked about anaglyphs (3d photos) and briefly described how to create them: take 2 photos at 2 slightly different angles. In Photoshop, layer one on top of the other and make the top one somewhat transparent. Align one part of the image. Remove the red from one layer and blue for the other.

WINTER CHALLENGE:
Linda has proposed a winter challenge with 10 themes. Take as many or as few as you want. Display format is open. We created a gallery for the challenge. Shooting until March 31, 2009. We will display sometime in the spring.
CREATING GALLERIES:
How to create a new gallery:
Go to the gallery where you want to create a sub-gallery.
Click “edit gallery”
Under “create a new gallery,” name your gallery (doesn’t have to be pretty)
UNCLICK create the gallery at root level, or your gallery will go to the main page.
Click “new gallery”
Make a title for the gallery (should be pretty)
Fill in the description
Click “update gallery”
Sub-galleries will not show unless you have a picture in them.
In the gallery, click “edit gallery”
Click on “advanced”
Click “display caption”
Click sequencing – decide whether you want new pictures to appear at the start or the end.
PHOTO BACK-UP
We talked about backing up photo files. An external drive is good for this and extremely portable. You can get one with 250GB at Costco for about $80.
