For this challenge, we're going to try something different.
The theme is "Close"
As usual, the theme is open to interpretation.
Next week, we can discuss some macro techniques, including true macro lenses, extension tubes, close-up lenses, poor man's macro, point and shoot macro features, etc. If anyone has any of the above that they could bring to show others, it would be appreciated. Hopefully this way we can get you to try some new techniques. Just remember, the theme does not necessarily imply macro!
This challenge will be a little different as there will be NO VOTING. We would like to see more people participating, so feel free to share your photos as you will not be judged "against" anybody else. Instead, please comment freely on the images as they are posted. Don't just post whether you like it or not…also indicate why you like it (or not), what was well done, what could be improved.
At one of the upcoming meetings, we can look at the gallery as a group and discuss the merits and provide constructive feedback.
Please post images WITH your name. Those who post photos will have their names put in a hat at the end of the challenge. The person whose name is drawn will pick the next challenge. At that point it will be up to that person to decide whether they would like to have another "participation" challenge or revert to the traditional format.
