Challenge 15 - Sea, See or C

Let's play with the sound "C" - You can post any photo that has to do with Sea, See or C... Let you imagination take over.

I vote for #11 for the following reasons:

Challenge is about (Sea, See or C) and Photo #11 regroups two of them under one single simple picture (See and C) See being the hand gesture to frame a photo and the C shape that is the ring under the eye.

Love the depth of field.

Here are my comments for the other pictures:
#7 I feel that is out of focus (see large format)
#8 is a nice cool picture (when was this taken?)
#9 has beautiful warm colors, which I like

I'm really not a cat person but #7 gets my vote anyway. I really like the composition and depth of field.

I don't normally vote for animal photos but I really like the lighting and colour in #9. Looks like he's just about to dart off too! It was a tough call - I liked each and every one this time around!

Honourable mention to #8 - love the colour and really made me want to go on vacation! I normally don't like horizon smack dap in the middle of the photo but because of the interesting sky and great water it worked!

I vote for #11. Very creative incorporating the "see" and "c" aspects of the challenge!

Like dof in #7, and #8 has beautiful colours/ scenery!

#7 - I like the closeup, the cropping and especially the angle-- the upside down eye has a strong gaze. Cats are photogenic, so kudos for an image that doesn't rely only on the subject's good looks.

That said, the competition was close: I especially like #10's warm colours contrasted with a cool background and #11's tricky play with depth of field.

#9: warmth, patterns and a sense of movement, the cat about to leap from the chair; #8: cool colours, wind -- a sense that despite being tropical, the temperature has fallen and the wind has picked up. Again, a sense of something about to happen.

A very nice selection all around.

I really like the framing of Number 7, but have to go with number 8 because of the beautiful light.
