A simple assignment.

We are photographers. Flowers , kittens and buildings are nice, but when all is said and done, we ultimately keep the people pictures.
Take your time; try shooting inside, next to a window that does not face the sun, but this is only a suggestion.

The assignment: a portrait of a loved one, or friend.
Up close, with no more than the face and arms in the picture.

Get your subject to relax, and try different expressions, moving around slowly.
For faces, try very hard to get the eyes in focus; other features not in focus matter a little less

ELIGIBLE pictures to be taken between July 22 and posted no later than August 7th
VOTING between August 8th and August 13th

CLARIFICATION: self-portraits (SP) do count.
But that would be a bigger challenge !
