Reflections

This challenge is open from March 5-15, 2010.
Voting will take place from March 16-17, 2010.

The picture was taken of the old City Hall on Sussex.
The water is the Rideau River slowly making it's way to the falls.

Just a comment on No. 5 - it is a perfectly valid reflection shot. I have thought a lot about reflectivity because of this assignment, and there are so many ways to leverage this creatively. Not every shot has to be of a perfectly recognizable subject, perfectly lit, centered, everyone smiling ... Instead, we have to ask ourselves the question: what was the photographer after ?
I thought this was a fun assignment, and that this shot does fit well with the theme.

yours us maybe the "artsiest" of all them in its abstractness.
it looked to me like the reflection of a window covered in snow. cool.

Reply to Steph - #5 was a reflection shot of Wellington Street taken off a granite facade on a building. You can see the lamps....my apologies if it is not as artistic as some of the others.

I like # 16...in terms of the visual reflection but it also speaks to me about in terms of personal introspection/inner thoughts and reflexions!

I vote for 21 - gotta love the light painting! Very creative.
8, runner up - very well composed. 9 would be my third pick - I love the colours and it's simplicity. I'm not sure what 5 is?? lol

Great subject choice for this challenge! I really like #6, #8, #13 and #16. My vote is for #13... though #8 is a very close second. The shot reminds me of being strapped in the back seat and driving through the country with my family.

my vote goes to #8 because of the eye-pleasing symmetry and balance.
21 & 22 are quite creative.

I like #8 as it really relates to the challenge, but I really like #4 as a picture......so I flipped a coin and #8 won.
