Looking out towards the southwest. The body of water in the middle right is the fjord called Lynn canal and the other stretch of water left of center going back to the right is Icy straight. This photo was taken at about 6000 feet. This is another photo taken while I was on a work flight over the Mendenhall glacer area in SE Alaska. Verrrry cold up here. The heavy winds blow the snow off of the high mountains around Juneau and on a clear day like this down in the town, it will appear like it is snowing tiny ice crystals that catch the sunlite like little diamonds.
