My daughter and I went down to Tracy Arm Fjord yesterday for a little halibut fishing and it was such a nice day we decided to go on into the glacier area for a couple of photos. Last time we did this we couldn't get within 5 miles of either glacier due to the heavy ice flow. This day we were able to go right up to the North branch and we sat and watched burgs break off for about an hour. This shot is back about 2 miles from the face. Its hard to get an idea how large these are. When we were up close, the face of that glacier is about 300 to 400 feet high.
