High Mountain Grizz. Had to go to Fairbanks to help fix an aircraft and we had to drive some parts up. 1500 miles in three days. Not too much time to play but did get some shots in. This is perhaps the largest high mountain grizzly that I have ever seen. We saw three on this trip alone right along side the road and this one in particular was easily twice the size of the other two. I have a tough time estimating bear size but we were guessing 700-800 pounds. I have another photo with his mouth open and one of the lower canines is rotted through and has a large black center. This was from inside my truck and across the road.
