Great shot. The boat looks toward the weather beyond, but still faces into it. It shows the marks of many a hard winter in its rust and the smears of its paintwork, yet still persists. I suppose it's an analogy for living in AK as a whole. The light in this is superb, both in quality and colour. It has a feel that runs between optimism and menace.
