This is what we call the Taku winds here in Juneau. The interior passes that are open to the coast really get to howling some times. This is snow being blown off of the mountain tops from those winds. Downtown Juneau is at the base of these mountains and on days like this, you can see sparkling in the air of the snow crystals coming down.
