chip fox

My buddy Chip and the AC we flew up in, 52F. This is on top of Thunder Mountain. The name of the mountain comes from the avalanches that slide off of here in the spring which echo through the Mendenhall valley. I live at the bottom of the valley just to the left and down from where this photo is shot. We live very close to these glaciers.

Sweet shot Ron! So where on the face is that large area poised to calve??? I have seen the fractures but from a kayak view it's hard to get the "overview"!
