Hi Tom, thanks for the compliment, I guess sometimes I have a small win. As a birder with a camera, rather than a bird photographer, I take shots as I birdwatch, so that backgrounds are what they are, and not as I might like them! I use relatively lightweight gear (Canon 100-400mm lens), and rarely spend much time with any one bird. Perhaps that appears a bit slipshod, but that's what I'm comfortable with.
