We spent the night in Page and headed to the canyon in the early afternoon. We were amazed by the reddish color of the huge rocks, which seemed like delicate mountains of sand. We drove through the park and camped on the beach. The heat was ferocious in the day but at night, we kept the tent roof off and enjoyed star gazing. Next morning, we rented a SeaDoo and drove in the canyon, picknicked in the middle of nowhere, then enjoyed a fresh swim in the delicious lake waters.
