Snake Nebula or B 72.

Cootamundra, NSW.

The Snake Nebula or Barnard 72 is located in the constellation of Ophiuchus and is a Dark Nebula some 2.5 arc minutes in size. It has an opacity of 6 (1-6, 6 = Darkest).

Several other Barnard objects are located within the frame.

Takahashi FSQ-106ED @ f/5.0 ( focus is a little soft due to a rapidly falling temperature)
