NGC 4755 or the Jewel Box

Cootamundra, NSW

The Jewel Box or NGC 4755, Collinder 264, Melotte 114, Raab 96 or OCL 892 is a brilliant Open Cluster in Crux ( Southern Cross), it shines at a magnitude of 5.20 and is some 10 arc minutes across.

This monochrome image was taken using a Luminance (Clear) filter under full moonlight using the Takahashi TSA-120 fitted with a Takahashi Reducer/Flattener operating at 672mm or f/5.6.
