NGC 2239 or the Rosette Nebula

Cootamundra, NSW.

NGC 2239 or the Rosette Nebula in Monoceros, an Open Cluster (NGC 2244 some 24 arc minutes wide) with surrounding nebulousity at magnitude 4.8.

Was a very hot night and the DSLR showed a lot of noise.

Takhashi TSA-102 fitted with a Takahashi Reducer/Flattener operating at f/6.0.
