We stayed overnight on the river in a floating bungalow. It was cool. Dinner and breakfast on the water. You'll see by the pictures that the river is a big tourist destination during peak season (our winter), so it was really empty when we went.

Also, we had running water TO our rooms, for showering and toilet and sink, BUT we didn't see any outtake for waste. That got us thinking... Hmm... I think we're fertilizing the river here. And we weren't the most upstream bungalow either. Thats why we stayed out of the waterfall and river, while the rest of the tour group took their chances or didn't care. We kept eye on the two tour guides, and they did dress into bathing suits, but never touched the water... Ha!

There was no shower drain either. The bath water went straight through the floorboards and into the river. The water was cold of course, and that was the quickest shower I ever took.
Also, I didn't get any mosquito bites either, which was a miracle. Natalie, the tour guide said it was because the river was flowing too swift, and there was no standing still water for them breed.
