The photos were taken during my short visit to Amsterdam, Paris and Rotterdam in 2007; my first visit to Europe after I moved to Singapore 5 years ago.

These are experimental photos after some photo processing: I merged two layers, one in true colours, and one converted in sepia at 50% opacity. The result is a photo with faded colours as if it was taken in the '80s (hence the gallery title) and this approach gives a more authentic look than de-saturating the colours.

For comparison, the first photo of Amsterdam is in two versions, in true colour and in faded colours.
