The ldp runs through Whitehorse Wood just before the drop over the scarp of the North Downs.From Poundgate the first section is fairly pleasant walking as shown by this and the next image.The last half mile to the top of the scarp,has become a 4x4 paradise,but a walkers' nightmare,wet,mud,slipping and sliding, taking detours through the woods to avoid the worst of the glaur.
