Honda CB250T Dream, 9/1977 - 6/1978 Reg.No. YGC 655S

Dalrymple St., Dundee,Tayside,Scotland view map

Bought from Ryes of Fulham, immediately after the bike show at Earls Court,in early Sept. 1977,for the princely sum of £709.I'd wanted a blue one,but there were none available at the time. The following day,I left London to go to college in Dundee and rode north, via Ludlow and Shrewsbury,at thirty mph.It seemed to take forever. This bike had tremendous torque for a 250,with a clocked top speed, when run in,of 88mph.One evening in Dundee,a moron, removed the brake reservoir cap and liberally sprayed brake fluid over the tank.Shortly after that, the oil pump packed up.It took 3 months to get a new one. That apart,a great bike.9500 miles in my service. This was the first Honda motorcycle to have Comstar Wheels and capacitor discharge ignition. But,first Stephanie and then the delectable Paula rode pillion frequently.

I bought the same bike in blue from rye's of Fulham in 1977 it cost me £699. I had it for two years of trouble free riding. I then sold it to my brother who used it for a further two years or so. It was a great bike; as a 17/18 year old I had much fun on it.
