Our resident family of crows (dad, mom and two teens) are extremely well-trained - anytime one of us appears in the kitchen window, one of them would take a position on a branch closest to the window and then plunge down without a second's hesitation to catch a piece of bread, a salmon's tail or our cat's leftover food. By the way, have you heard the story a caller to Coast to Coast AM told about a crow who was first saved by a woman when his leg got stuck in a fence and then paid back by saving her toddler son who ran out into the street to catch a ball? The crow caught the boy by his shirt, I believe, and pushed him out of a car's way.
