True that the G7 produces a fair amount of noise above ISO400, however, in this shot, the noise was introduced using software (Paint Shop Pro Photo XI).

The exif does not show ISO setting but this shot was probably set at 800 hence the noise that is very prominent. I also have this camera and noticed that even at just ISO 800 noise becomes very obvious. Other than this defect, everything else is OK.
