Aubrey Lee and Lelia Mae

Lawrenceburg, Tn.

~~holding Reba Lee and Jeanne~~
their pride and joy
loving mom and dad who gave their children all they had...love and care
two addition pride and joys came along, Susan and Norris.
God, for what ever the reason called my mom and dad to heaven
long before they had a chance to love their four little babies enough,
long before life had its call on us and long before their dreams for us were shared.
~~~~
I never saw my mama cooking our food in shining pots and pans,
But I remember the dress she made for me from a flowered flour sack.
I never knew my mama to write a check or have a line of credit,
But food was on the table and prayers of thankfulness were said.
I never heard my mama speak before an audience,
But even today I hear her words of love meant only for me.
My mama never had a closet of fancy, stylish clothes to wear
She did without so I could have a coat of many colors.
My mama worked in the fields, picked apples, washed and ironed, a myriad of other work,
So I could learn to share the load and add value to my life.
My mama took me to church on Sunday, gave me a penny for the offering plate,
So I would know who God was and accept his Son Jesus as my Saviour.
My mama did not live to be very old, she was taken young, they said,
But God in His wisdom gave her to me for eternity.
What a cherished memory for you this photo must be? It is wonderful and I can see a resemblance of you, in your mothers eyes. It reminds me of you when you were a beautiful young lady! You are ever beautiful, sweet soul, Yes, someday we will see all our loved ones again and what a happy day that will be. I just wish you had had more time with them here, but eternity is a long , long time!!! Love you , Friend!!! Barbara
Susan, I too lost my dad at age six and is something that i will forever miss, a dad to grow up with but for whatever reason it was God's will. I can hardly imagine what it would have been like to have lost them both at such a young age. A very touching photo and I love barefoot babies!
Dear Aunt Susan, Your parents would be so proud of the way the four of you lived, loved, and laughed together. All of you were given so many talents that you've shared with all of us in the family. Thank you for always thinking of others and being there when needed. One day we will all be together forever, never having to be apart again. May Christ continue to hold you in His loving arms as you walk through this time in your life.
My heart is with you, Susan! They indeed loved their children. A beautiful moment captured. I love the slight smile on your Daddy's face!
