Here are some close shots of some of the individual cells. I was surprised by the strong, pastel colors. The DA 10-17 Fisheye lens helped me a lot on many of these shots. It does distort the sense of space, however. These cells are small, maybe 6' by 8'. Each serves as "home" for 2 to 4 inmates. Each cell has a somewhat unique decor, another surprise. I'm curious if the ISHS created these scenes or they are simply frozen in time when the prison closed in 1973. I would like to think it's the latter, but even if just partial or complete recreations, they are very interesting.
