So inviting!

Tecopa Hot Springs

We went to see this "hot springs" outside Death Valley park which was really just a very small cement "hole" in the ground with the mineral water in it. Granted it was pretty warm water but certainly not HOT. I had expected beautiful steaming water and like that. Instead there was this very small pool, a funny old yellow kitchen chair (ONE! How decadent!) and this almost unreadable warning sign. And so you see this place probably didn't have a chance in hell of having a resort built around it.

Classic ... and weird.

I didn't even see this sign (darn it) because it really makes this photo interesting. The size relationship is great. This huge, almost illegible, warning sign vis-a-vis this tiny luke warm hot spring and this lone empty chair is as amusing as it is incongruous.
