I love the title and the lighting in this image. And yes, some of the "relics left as they were when people left", do seem staged as Phil put it. Look close at some of the items in the buildings and you will see inventory tags. All of this aside this is a wonderful image with the coins spilled across the floor.
This is one of the issues I have with Bodie's "staged" relics. You made a wonderful picture of it, but some of the stuff in the windows and in the church, as here, do not have the ring of authenticity to them, but rather are theatrical staging for effect by Bodie's curators. In spite of the staging, this image works beause of how you have composed it. The money is small iin scale, the offering bowl is hidden in the shadow, and the play of light on the coins make them tend to vanish into the ghostly floor.
