Great use of the wide-angle lens to stress the foreground, emphasizing the violent natural history of this place. The purpose of the wideangle lens is not, as some people might think, to simply include more information in the frame. Instead a wideangle should by used to layer the image, and thereby relate an emphatic foreground to the context in the background, just as you do so well here.
