This gull was seen from the dock adjacent to the Coast Guard Station in Gloucester Ma. Very strange looking presumed 1st yr bird due to pointed primaries. Bill strongly bi-colored, over all appearance dark gray and brown with little to no "markings" on tertials, scaps, or coverts. Head bleached somewhat compared to body. This is not the first type of gull I have photographed this year like this. Could this be just another variation of HEGU not well defined in field guides?
