This is a photographic story of McKinney Falls SP, Austin TX. We had about 2 inches of rain and the creek was flowing which then creates the Upper and Lower falls of which the park is famous. At the bottom of the two falls are natural swimming ponds. There are wildflowers, birds, wildlife and lots of cypress trees. This park has to have the biggest cypress tree in the area growing out of a limestone rock. Also a rock shelter which I'm sure was used by the settlers in the area. This park has a variety of hike & bike trails and camping which makes it a great place for a Saturday afternoon or a weekend get away.
