Not actually in the Galilee, these sites are closer to the coastal area, near Binyamina and Caesaria. They were part of the Roman water system that fed into the aquaduct serving the city of Caesaria, the ancient Roman capital of the area. Nahal Tanenim means Alligator Stream, but we didn't see any alligators though! The area has remains from Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman - bakeries operated there, and the recent past, when a ceramic pipe factory operated there in the early 20th century.
