The stone wall in the background is their symbolic version of the Western Wall (Kotel) in Jerusalem which Jews consider sacred because it is the only remaining structure from the 2nd Temple. It was the retaining wall around the Temple Mount whereon now stands the Dome of the Rock mosque.
