Comacchio is a small town on the Po Delta and is best known for being the center of eel fishing. The town has a long history and is a little Venice, with canals and bridges. While we were there, the International Birdwatching Fair was in town and we took a boat ride out in the canals in the wetlands to the bases where eel fishermen used to stay and bring in their hauls. Along the way, we were lucky to see a lot of pink flamingos!
