Peralta Trail Elementary School hosted a STEM night and SMAL was invited to join in the fun.
Representatives from SMAL included Fred Cawsey with his SeeStar telescope, Bill Dellinges with his TeleVue TV85 refractor, Ed Rosenbach with his Meade LX90 8" telescope/mount and Bill Shaheen with his Solar System demonstration conducted in a nearby classroom.
We were fortunate in having a full moon (Full Beaver Supermoon) rising nicely in the east which presented convenient views. It happened to be the final supermoon of four consecutive supermoons of the year.
The ringed planet Saturn also put in an appearance and was a delight for all. (Bill Dellinges noted 77 visitors in attendance.)
We wish to thank Patricia Smith for inviting us and Jacquetta Hough for providing arrangements/facilities.
