The Co-Pilot & the Doll

The Southwest Airlines airplane pulled into the gate in the C terminal at the Las Vegas Airport,
letting passengers off before I could board for my flight around 10 a.m. on 12 November 2012.
While waiting in the terminal, I saw the co-pilot inside the cockpit open the front window,
and place an object on the windshield, securing it with the wiper blade.
Next he exited the plane and began to photograph his creation, a bright crayon colored paper doll.
After some photos (his and mine), he re-entered the cockpit, slid the window open and placed the doll on the dashboard.
It was a smooth flight for everyone.

They are made by young students, then given to friends and relatives to be photographed in various situations. Usually they are named "Flat XXXX". I was given one several years ago named Flat Stanley.

What curious behavior! Maybe this doll represents someone close to him! Perhaps his creation was for good luck during the flight! What a cool capture, great timing on your part!!
