Geologically, Tomales Bay was created by the San Andreas Fault,
a formation responsible for many earthquakes.
The people stand on the Pacific Plate of the Earth's crust,
the San Andreas Fault lies under Tomales Bay,
and the hills in the distance are part of the North American Plate.
Socially, Tom and Sori, on the left, are from Pennsylvania and New Jersey;
Dave and Sam, on the right are from California.
