Bird on a Stick

New leaves and a backlit Bald Eagle (Haliaetus leucocephalus) at the confluence of Hat Creek and the Salmon River, Idaho.
Bald Eagles have wingspans of 6 to 7 feet; in a sitting posture, they are 2 1/2 to 3 feet tall.
