On the first Sunday in May, Bringing Back the Natives hosts free garden tours of over 50 native plant gardens in Alameda and Contra Costa County. Over 5,000 people attended and more than 40 gardening talks were given. The gardens are healthy and flourishing without the use of pesticides or fertilizers, are water conserving, and provide wildlife habitat.
