Weather-carved brownstone caves seen along the shores
of one of the 22 Apostle Islands yesterday afternoon.
These islands are found off the Bayfield peninsula,
on the southern shore of Lake Superior in northern Wisconsin.
This one was said to be named Devils' Island due
to the eerie howling winds that were heard blowing
through the chambers of the caves by the native Indians.
