Honduras January 13-22, 2010

The MAMA project team from DRE including my husband, Mark went down to Honduras to help build a house for one of the men who helps with the MAMA who lived in a dirt floor house.
They also helped poured concrete for other village' houses and helped in the clinic for the adults and children.
(At the same time, Haiti had the earthquake which was going on at the same time)
A group from the Souderton Mennonite Church was going to come to Honduras to help in their 2nd week but headed home, safely on Saturday back to the States.

The weather ranged from about 68*F at night to the 90*F in the day.

Some stats:
The construction crew completed their last six houses, setting new records this trip - 188 bags of cement - that's 37 yards of concrete or 4 truck loads of ready mix concrete. Any way you look at it, that's a lot of concrete and a lot of hard work!!

1) The medical team saw 920 villagers.
2) The dentist pulled 322 teeth. OUCH!
3) We gave out 156 reading glasses.
4) We found 147 villagers were anemic and treated them.
5) We had a life changing experience, reaching out to others and serving them in the Name of Jesus.
