"HAROLD L. MOYER
Harold L. Moyer, 90 of Souderton, formerly of Dublin, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at Souderton Mennonite Homes. He was the husband for 67 years to Kathryn D. (Leatherman) Moyer.
Born in Lower Salford Township, he was the son of the late Ulysses and Ella (Landis) Moyer.
Mr. Moyer worked for Pebble Hill Farm in Doylestown during the early 1940s. He was employed by Werner Foundry & Machine Co. in Lansdale, as a molder from the mid 1940s until 1968. Mr. Moyer worked part time for the Hatfield Livestock Market for his brother, Norman. He was a tool crib attendant for Hunter Spring/Ametek Inc. in Hatfield from 1968-1984. After retiring, he worked for the Heacock Saw Mill in Plumsteadville for several years.
He was a member of Deep Run Mennonite Church East of Bedminster, where he served as a former church trustee and usher.
Mr. Moyer enjoyed gardening.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by three sons: Dale Moyer, and his wife Sharon of Portland, Ore.; Carl Moyer, and his wife Jean of Telford, and Glen Moyer, and his wife Donna of Perkasie; three daughters: Lynette Martin, and her husband Larry of St. Jacobs, Ontario, Canada; Lois Hackman, and her husband Cleon of Bedminster, and Nancy Delp, and her husband Robert of East Greenville; a sister, Faith Rittenhouse, and her husband Walton of Souderton; two sisters-in-law: Eva Moyer of Souderton and Esther Moyer of Souderton; 17 grandchildren, and 14 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three brothers: Titus, Norman and Ezra Moyer and three sisters: Ada Moyer, Hannah Godshall and Lizzie Detweiler.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 28 at 12 p.m. at Souderton Mennonite Summit View Auditorium, 207 W. Summit St. Souderton with viewing hours from 10-11:30 a.m.
Burial will take place at Deep Run Mennonite Cemetery East.
