I laughed when I read Vince's comment, 'cause I was thinking, hmmm ... he looks out of place on that rough looking surface. You know, Sue, I have a bonafide phobia about frogs. Insects, too. I would pick up any non-poisonous snake with no hesitation, but bugs and frogs turn me into an irrational screaming five year old, lol. I've photographed them behind glass or from a distance with my zooms, but don't get near me with anything, including butterflies, prayig mantis, 'cute' fuzzy catepillars or (groan and God forbid) grasshoppers or crickets. It's that crawling, flying, JUMPING thing that freaks me out, lol. I don't know what caused it. I get a bit nauseous looking at macro shots of bugs, yet I am fascinated by the creatures.
Sometimes, I'll turn my front porch light on so as to attract a bunch of bugs, and then photograph them through the glass storm door ~ THE perfect set up for me, lol, even if 3/4th's of the shots are crappy due to my um, 'budget' light set up, haha. This certainly is another great catch by you, though. ;) Willa
